Caroline Lenze has thoroughly enjoyed her experience at Huntington High School over the past four years. A member of the Class of 2019, the teenager has pursued her interests with enthusiasm, winning post-season honors with the Blue Devil volleyball team, participating in the after school club program, working closely with faculty members and developing many satisfying friendships.
Ms. Lenze has made many friends over the years and attracted a long list of admirers.

A member of the Blue Devil volleyball team in each of the past four years, Ms. Lenze served as a captain this past fall and garnered All-League honors. She’s been a sailing instructor at her local club for six years and participates in the high school’s women’s empowerment club. She is also involved in the Long Island Teen Institute, “which is a program designed to teach teen leadership and interpersonal skills,” Ms. Lenze said.
The teenager’s closest friends include Ariana Strieb, Emma Grassi, Christie Baade, Lauren Berg, and Eliza Engelsher.
“Caroline Lenze is a great friend, classmate and athlete,” Ms. Baade said. “She is always there with a helping hand at all times. She gives off an energetic enjoyable spirit that brings smiles to people around her. I’m very glad to have her as a friend and can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll do.”
Ms. Lenze’s academic schedule includes classes in Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition, AP Environmental Science, pre-Calculus, Animal Behavior, Economics and Participation in Government.
“Caroline is one of the funniest most loyal people I know,” Ms. Strieb said. “She’s an amazing friend and I’m so lucky to have her in my life. She always makes me laugh.”
Ms. Lenze’s favorite teachers have been Nicole Cooper, Gina Colica, Amelia Saggese, Nicole Mulholland and Anna Fabela. “Caroline is one of those people that always make you smile,” Ms. Cooper said. “She thinks about world issues deeply and will bring her positive light to whatever she ends up doing in the future.”
The senior hasn’t finalized her college plans just yet. Her top choices are Quinnipiac University, Providence College and Fairfield University. “I hope to pursue a career as a physician assistant or possibly an OB-GYN,” Ms. Lenze said.
With her future plans steadily taking shape and with the basic outlines of her career interests clear, Ms. Lenze is looking ahead with excitement. She’ll be a happy Huntington graduate in June.
“I have honestly had a wonderful high school experience,” Ms. Lenze said. “I have developed such great friendships and relationships, all of which are so supportive and special to me. I have learned so much and I am excited to bring the knowledge I have obtained with me to college.”
