Jefferson Primary School is bursting with activity as the winter season approaches. The PTA is holding a holiday market on Friday from 5-9 p.m. It will feature local vendors, unique gifts, crafts and fun and even a book fair.
Entire families are invited to the holiday market. An array of items will be available, including wreaths, ornaments and centerpieces, home décor and signs, skincare, bath and body and cosmetics, hats, scarves, hair bows and accessories, handmade, custom and commercial jewelry, children’s apparel and accessories, health and wellness goods, women’s boutique clothing and that’s just for starters.
The holiday market will include a ton of handmade, custom, unique, organic and natural products. It’s open to the general public so spread the word.
Citizens of the Month Awards
Jefferson students, teachers and paraprofessional staff members are completing their daily routines with their typical attention to detail. The more than 300 youngsters that are studying in the building are working hard and enjoying every last bit of recognition that happens to come their way.
Principal Valerie Capitulo-Saide and Jefferson’s faculty recently announced the recipients of November’s Citizens of the Month Awards. Members of the talented and high-achieving group were given certificates and then assembled for a photo.
Award recipients include Sammie Caramico, Maeve Frintzilas, Oliver Frintzilas, Marco Garcia, Ryan Gordon, Imre Hollosi, Jeffery Maldonado Diaz, Logan Mazure, Anthony Naborre, Camila Orellana Garcia, Hunter Pitney, Nancy Ramirez, Karina Rodriguez, Frankie Sesterak, Lucila Valiente Caceres and Lindsey Zilm.
Decembers’s Featured Artists at Jefferson
Jefferson Primary School recently recognized its Featured Artists of the Month for December. The youngsters were selected by art teacher Maria Mazzola to have one of their pieces displayed in the building’s main hallway.
The honorees include Saira Amin, John Conner III, Ana Gamez Cordero, Christopher Garcia Cubas, Colin Fiore, Emily Hiscox, Alex Holly, Arlene Maldonado Licona, Johan Mejia Mejia, Alexander Prudente, Steven Rosado, Anthony Salerno, Valery Say Alvarez and Miguel Vasquez Ibarra.
Jefferson’s Songfest
One of the highlights of the holiday season will be Jefferson School’s songfest scheduled for Tuesday, December 18 at 10 a.m. in the school gym. Students in grades K-3 will perform for family members.
