The Huntington Booster Club has announced its summer camp program schedule.

The Huntington Booster Club has announced its summer sports camp line-up. Registration is now underway on the organization’s website. There will be 14 separate camps. All camps are priced at $85.

“We strive to create a healthy, safe and competitive environment where our campers will work to improve individual and team skills, learn sportsmanship and self-confidence and appreciate the physical benefits of athletics,” according to the summer camp program brochure.

The camp line-up includes:

Girls’ Basketball: June 25-June 28 from 9 a.m.–12 noon. Open to girls in grades 5-12
Directed by varsity coach Mike Kaplan and assistant coach Marissa Bergmann Kaplan, this camp aims to improve participant’s fundamentals and knowledge of basketball. It will be held in the Huntington High School gym.

Boys’ Lacrosse: June 25-28 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Open to boys in grades 3-8
Directed by first year varsity head coach Julian Watts, this camp will focus on teaching winning techniques and skills in an incredibly popular sport! The camp will be held on the Huntington High School turf field. Full equipment is required.

Girls’ Softball: June 25-28 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Open to girls in grades 4-12
Directed by Huntington varsity assistant coach Jim Byrnes, the camp will teach the fundamentals that will improve each camper’s skill level and confidence in the great game of softball. It will be held on the Huntington High School softball field.

Co-ed Tennis: June 25-28 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Open to boys and girls in grades 7-12
Directed by varsity coach Jamie Fishlow, the camp offers each player personal attention and coaching. The camp strives to improve participant’s skill level and provide a fun environment while learning techniques on Huntington High School’s Coach Cuppernull court complex.

Girls’ Lax Rising: July 2, 3, 5, 6 from 9 a.m-12 noon. Open to girls in grades K-12
Directed by varsity coaches Kim Gilroy and Linda Costello-Roth, this camp features two hours of lacrosse and an hour of wellness and chalk talk daily. The camp will be held on the Huntington High School grass athletic field.

Boys’ Soccer: July 2, 3, 5, 6 from 9a.m.-12 noon. Open to boys in grades 3-9
Directed by varsity coaches John Pagano and Jason Suarez, the camp will focus on improving each camper’s skill level through competitive drills and fundamentals while having fun! It will be held on Huntington High School’s turf field.

Girls’ Soccer: July 9-12 from 9a.m.-12 noon. Open to girls in grades 3-8
Directed by varsity head coach John Walsh and assistant coach Vincent Tannazzo, each camper will improve their current skill level. The camp will focus on competitive drills and fundamentals while having loads of fun! It will be held on the Huntington High School grass athletic field.

Huntington Highsteppers Dance Camp: July 9-12 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Open to grades 3-9
Directed by Huntington Highsteppers coach Jessica Harris, this camp will teach competitive dance and the skills necessary to become a member of the Highsteppers dance team. The camp will be held in the Huntington High School gym.

Girls’ Lacrosse: July 9-12 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Open to girls in grades 3-8
Directed by varsity girls’ lacrosse coaches Kim Gilroy and Linda Costello-Roth, this camp will focus on fostering a love for the game by concentrating on skill improvement while at the same time having tons of fun! The camp will be held on the Huntington High School turf/grass field.

Co-Ed Track & Field and Cross Country: July 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Open to grades 5-12
Led by Huntington cross country coach Beth Vogelsang, the camp will include various running, jumping and throwing events and help you fall in love with running. The camp will be held on the Huntington High School track.

Girls’ Field Hockey: July 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Open to girls in grades 7-12
Directed by varsity coach Kathy Wright, the camp will strive to improve each player’s skill level and knowledge of the concepts of field hockey while they enjoy every minute of this fun sport! It will be held on Huntington High School’s turf/grass field.

Co-ed Volleyball: July 16-19 from 9a.m.-12 noon. Open to grades 4-8
Directed by varsity and middle school head coach Lauren Visbal, the camp will feature instruction, drills, scrimmaging and fun games. The camp will be held in the Huntington High School gym.

Boys’ Basketball: July 16-19 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Open to boys in grades 3-7
Directed by J. Taylor Finley Middle School basketball coach Tim Madden, the camp will cultivate each player’s skill, knowledge and love for the game of basketball. It will be held in the Huntington High School gym.

Co-ed Fencing: July 23-26 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Open to grades 7-12
Directed by varsity coaching Vincent O’Garra and Michelle O’Brien, this camp welcomes both beginners and experienced fencers. There will be skill instruction, drills and competition for those of every level. The camp will be held in the Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School gymnasium.
