Tickets priced at $35 are on sale now and will also be available at the door on the night of the reception. Contact Nancy DiGiacomo (nbdig@yahoo.com or 516-680-3304) for more information.

A selection of delectable New Orleans inspired food treats will be served. Half-priced beverages will be available for purchase.

The evening will include performances by Huntington School District music teachers and master musicians Frank Battista, Matt Gelfer and Claude Masear. Huntington High School Principal Brenden Cusack, music teacher and band director Jason Giachetti and district parent and professional musician Mark Dara are also slated to perform.

“This mission of the Arts-in-Education Committee is to provide high quality arts enrichment programs emphasizing social and emotional development to all of the children in our district,” according to the event flyer.

The AIE committee researches and plans cultural arts and exploratory programs linked directly to core curriculum for every grade level. Students participate in a wide range of experiences from seeing their own pieces of creative writing performed by professional actors and chatting with famous authors to working with real scientists and “meeting” characters from American history.
