The Huntington High School yearbook club is working on the 2017 edition of The Huntingtonian. It’s a massive undertaking, but when it’s completed, club members and faculty advisor Elizabeth Casazza are confident that everyone will be quite pleased.
The 2017 yearbook is on sale now at the discounted price of $85. The sale price will continue through Monday, January 30. Once the discounted period ends, the yearbook price increase to $95. A limited number of yearbooks are being printed, so seniors and any other student interested in securing a copy should order early.
Yearbook ads are also available through January 30. A full page ad is priced at $300, while a half page ad is set at $150 and a quarter page ad costs $100.

Halley Deonarine is president
of Huntington's yearbook club.
The yearbook club is headed by Halley Deonarine, who serves as president and project manager. Celine Palermo is vice president and Ashleigh Katigbak is treasurer. Many other students are involved in coordinating specific sections of the volume.
“At the moment, we are moving progressively and swiftly towards the completion of the yearbook,” Ms. Deonarine said. “The club and I have been dedicating numerous hours to acquiring photos and content and considering the year just started we already have a vast amount. Right now we are working on layouts for the yearbook’s pages and have been corresponding with many of the seniors to make the yearbook a project that our district and school can be proud of.”
A cover art contest has been ongoing. The yearbook will run hundreds of pages once it is finished. The volume will document a year in the life of Huntington High School and will include a look back at many of the events held dear by members of the Class of 2017.
The Huntingtonian has been continuously published for more than 85 years. This school year’s edition is expected to be crammed with photos and many of the features that have made the book so popular over the years.
