Flower Hill School Honors its Stars

Flower Hill Primary School students are a proud group. They come to school excited each day and give their studies their best effort. So many youngsters are excelling this year that it’s hard to select just one from each class to be recognized each month.

Principal Marlon Small is quite pleased with how students are going about their daily responsibilities. He especially enjoys how closely the youngsters are working with their teachers. “We have an excellent group of students this year who are very committed to their school work,” Mr. Small said. “They are also kind and considerate to one another and respectful of all the adults in the building.”

Flower Hill’s October Stars of the Month include Angeline Joseph, Avery Davidson, Julian Cabrera Gamez, Gannon Johnson, Ameer Shaker, Isabella Palacios, David Salgado Andrade, Karina Acevedo Ayala, Paige Wallace, Robert McCallion, Ludo Cattano, Adriana Flores Matute, Thomas Milner, Keira Coulter, Steven Portillo-Yanes, Charlotte Gordon, Sebastian Romero, Jaliyah Scott, Karen Maldonado and James McCormick.

Flower Hill teachers present Star Student Awards to recognize youngsters that have distinguished themselves. The honorees are given certificates and assembled together for a group photo that is affixed to a bulletin board near the school lobby.

“The school year is off to a great start at Flower Hill,” Mr. Small said. “There is a lot of energy in our classrooms each day.”
