Town Board to Honor
Woodhull School Duo

The Huntington Town Board will honor Woodhull Intermediate School sixth graders Miranda Nykolyn and Tyler Conforti at its meeting scheduled for June 6 at 7 p.m. Town Council member Susan Berland will present the two students with proclamations.

The ceremony will recognize the students' "significant achievement" in being accepted into the Institute of Creative Problem Solving and attended 20 Saturday morning classes at SUNY College at Old Westbury, according to Maryann Daly, Huntington's SEARCH program chairperson-teacher.

"The scores on their entrance exam placed them in the top 25 of their age division," Mrs. Daly said. "Over 850 students from all over Long Island took this two hour exam last year. Only 75 students were accepted in all, including 25 fifth and sixth graders, 25 seventh and eighth graders and 25 ninth and tenth graders."
