Woodhull Spring Fling Ushers in Season
A burst of more mild weather had the Woodhull Intermediate School community cutting loose during the PTA's Spring Fling celebration. Fifth and sixth graders enjoyed an outdoor party near the end of a beautiful day.
Students played ball and "ran around" playing games on Woodhull's lower athletic field. The upper field was filled with activity, too. DJ Richard Signorelli played a selection of tunes that had students and staff members dancing. Popsicles were passed around and the youngsters seemed to revel in it all. Some took the opportunity to relax in the sun and "think spring" as the school year heads to the finish line.
The Woodhull PTA organized the fun event, which kicked-off the spring season in spectacular fashion. The PTA even tossed out some beach balls that students had a blast hitting around.
"It was a nice little release for them after a long cold winter," said Julie LaBella, Woodhull's PTA president.
