Flower Hill Honors
Students of the Month
Flower Hill Primary School is filled with happy students. But, 19 of the youngsters had an extra spring in their steps after winning Student-of-the-Month Awards for their outstanding effort and achievement in classrooms and around the school.
The honorees include Katherine Torres, Harry Poulose, Katie Browne, Nashali Tavarez-Hernandez, Riley Lomler, William Ledezma-Benitez, Jada Edwards, Matthew Colavecchio, Yaniris Tavarez-Espinal, Sam Kimmelman, John O’Brien, Ricardo Romero-Cisneros, Jeremy Ramos, Michael Ochoa-Alvarez, Colby Tracy, Eric Sands, Benjamin Catalfo, Muhsin Muslim and Maria Verfenstein.
The students were nominated for the monthly award by their teachers. They worked hard in the classroom, were helpful and polite toward others, demonstrated positive attitudes and respect and were cooperative with their teachers and classmates.
Principal Marlon Small gathered the honorees together for a photo and each of the youngsters was presented with a certificate. Their names were also read over Flower Hill’s public address system. A copy of the photo and a list of the names of the awardees will be posted on a special bulletin board in the school’s main lobby.
