Flower Hill Honors Students of the Month

The Flower Hill School community joined together to make a special group of students feel like a million bucks, congratulating them on a job well done and presenting them with one of the most coveted school awards.

The youngsters were recipients of the Student of the Month Award for April.  They were chosen by teachers for their outstanding work ethic, attitude and contributions in classrooms and around the building, including the helpfulness they display toward others.  “This is an outstanding group of boys and girls,” Principal Marlon Small said.

The honorees included Trevan Meagher, Sarah Giarraputo, Devlin Starr, Harris Levinson, Riley Lomler, Charlie O’Rourke, Lia Shechter, Brigid Hannon, Shannon Lawlor, Jonil Martinez-Rodriguez, Jack Flores, Billy Suarez, Paige Lennon, David Mosden, Cornelius O’Rourke, Sasha Sair, Cesar Gonzalez, Andrea Adames, Michael Fleming, Ciara Thompson, Alexes Wright, Jacob Collins, Patrick Hannon, Casey Moskowitz and Vivi LaVertu.

The school’s public address system was utilized to broadcast the names of the award winners into classrooms and down hallways.  Mr. Small gathered the youngsters together and distributed snazzy certificates and then the group posed for a photo, which was later hung in the main lobby.

As the school year races to its conclusion, Flower Hill’s students are reaching new heights, responding to the call put out by teachers to work hard in every academic area.

“We’ve enjoyed a wonderful year so far and I expect us to finish on a high note,” Mr. Small said.
