Flower Hill Parents Visit for American Education Week
Principal Marlon Small said that parents of Flower Hill Primary School students are always welcome to drop in at the school for a visit. They did just that during a celebration of American Education Week, which featured numerous classroom activities that showcased the youngsters’ efforts.
Flower Hill has always been a welcoming place through the years. Teachers and paraprofessionals are proud of their work with students and the boys and girls themselves like to show-off for visitors. So, the parent-visitors were welcomed with open arms and the school used the occasion as an opportunity to show what makes Flower Hill so special.
“Flower Hill has a decades-long tradition of providing the young people of our community with a really outstanding education,” Huntington Superintendent John J. Finello said. “Parents have always been very involved at Flower Hill. That’s one of its traditions, too.”
Various special classroom activities were planned for American Education Week and parents were invited to come at specified times to participate. They saw teachers and students in action and Flower Hill doing what it does best: Educating eager boys and girls.
