A Tradition of Excellence since 1657

Infinite Tucker Poised for Big Year

With two years of athletic eligibility remaining, the sky appears to be the limit for Huntington High School junior Infinite Tucker. The teenager is a two-sport star, excelling in football and track and field.

Tucker was fabulous last fall for the Blue Devil football team, catching 20 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns and recording 74 tackles (two for a loss), 16 assists, two interceptions, 14 pass deflections and a fumble recovery on defense. He’s so good that some believe he is destined to play on an NCAA Division I team.

With many of the team’s top players graduating last June, Tucker is expected to play an even bigger role on the gridiron next fall. But, as fine a player as Tucker is on a football field, he’s equally talented on the track, sparkling in the 110m high hurdles, 400m hurdles, 4x400m relay, high jump and long jump.

“This young man can do it all,” said Ron Wilson, who has coached Tucker in both football and track. “He’s going to do some extraordinary things here in Huntington before it’s all said and done.”

Tucker notched personal bests in the 110m hurdles (14.94 seconds), 400m high hurdles (54.83 – a new school record), high jump (6-feet) and long jump (21’7) and ran the third leg on Huntington’s New Balance national championship 4x400m relay team.

The younger brother of All-State track star Y’Majesty Allen (who is headed to LIU-Post), Tucker appears to be just as talented. “He’s a competitor that aims to please and entertain,” Wilson said. “He did exactly that in every event he competed in.”
