Booster Club Sponsoring Summer Girls' Lax Camps

The Huntington Booster Club is sponsoring two summer girls' lacrosse camps at Huntington High School for students entering grades 2-6 and 7-12. The sessions will be held from July 15-18.

The elementary grade level camp will run from 4:15-8 p.m. each day. Tuition is set at $150. The middle school/high school advanced clinic is set for 5:15-7:15 p.m. each day. Tuition for the secondary grade level camp is $125.

The elementary camp will focus on "fostering a love for the game by concentrating on skill improvement while at the same time having tons of fun," according to a camp description. The new 7-12 advanced clinic will include competitive drill work and game play.

Huntington varsity head coach Kathy Wright will serve as program director. Instruction will be provided by current Blue Devil coaches and alumni. Those registering by May 1 will receive a $10 discount. In case of rain, the camp will move indoors to the high school gym. Participants are required to bring goggles, a mouthpiece and a lacrosse stick each day.

A copy of the summer camp program brochure and application is available on the Huntington School District's website at www.hufsd.edu. Click on the School Community link and then the Booster Club tab on the left side of the screen and then select Forms & Files or click on the Athletics link and then on Summer Programs.
