Homecoming Day Shirts a Hot Item
They are a must-have item for any Blue Devil sports fan. The Huntington High School National Honor Society chapter is selling Heather grey, long-sleeve shirts with Navy print to coincide with Homecoming Day this weekend.
The shirts feature the words "Huntington Blue Devils" in an arc around a classic Blue Devil on the front and "Homecoming 2012" on the back with a group of Blue Devil superheroes on the back. It's a handsome product and on sale for $15.
The shirts are currently being sold before and after school near room 144 said Joseph Cohen, a Huntington High School science teacher and the NHS faculty advisor. The shirts will also be sold Friday evening during the five-hour long Float Night activities and again during Saturday's Homecoming Day football game that will feature Huntington battling Amityville at Blue Devil Stadium.
Mr. Cohen said the shirts will be sold during the game from a table that will be set-up between the bleachers and the field house. Proceeds from the shirt sale will be used for NHS initiatives during the year.
