Huntington Parents Invited to
Meet the Teacher Nights

Parents of Huntington School District students are invited to attend Meet the Teacher Night in each of the district's seven buildings beginning Thursday, September 20. The evening programs will provide parents with an opportunity to meet teachers and learn more about school policies, course curriculum, educational resources and teacher philosophies.

"The beginning of a new school year is exciting for students and teachers alike," Superintendent James W. Polansky. "Our Meet the Teacher events provide us with a tremendous opportunity to cultivate a similar sense of excitement among parents and guardians. During the events, parents and guardians will hear all about class curricula and expectations. They will also learn about ways that they can support their children's learning, a particularly important aspect of the school-home connection."

Parents of Huntington High School students can meet their child's teachers on Thursday, September 20 beginning at 7 p.m. Parents of K-2 grade level students can meet the teachers at Flower Hill, Jefferson, Southdown and Washington primary schools on Tuesday, October 2 at 7 p.m. Parents of third and fourth graders are invited to meet teachers on Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m.
