Trustees Appoint Substitute Librarian

Huntington School Board members have appointed Peggy Gallagher to work as a long-term substitute librarian at Woodhull Intermediate School. Her service is expected to run through approximately November 30.

Ms. Gallagher obtained a BS in marketing management at Siena College in May 1987. She earned an MBA at St. John's University in June 1993 and a master's in library science at St. John's in January 2010.

Prior to coming to Huntington, Ms. Gallagher worked in the Hauppauge, Westbury, Hicksville and Deer Park school districts in substitute, leave replacement and summer library media specialist positions.

District officials reviewed 22 resumes and conducted three personal interviews prior to recommending Ms. Gallagher to trustees for appointment.
