Kindergarten Schedule Set for Final Two Days

The last two days of the school year are half-days on the elementary grade level in the Huntington School District. But, with separate morning and afternoon kindergarten sessions in place for the first time in two decades, district officials have informed parents about changes to end-of-year kindergarten schedule.

There will be no morning (a.m.) kindergarten session on Thursday, June 21. The afternoon (p.m.) kindergarten will be held at the regular time. On Friday, June 22, there will be a morning (a.m.) kindergarten session, but no afternoon (p.m.) session.

"This schedule permits us to provide an equal amount of instructional time to both morning and afternoon kindergarteners as we conclude the school year," Superintendent James W. Polansky said.
