Blue Devil Boys' Soccer Alumni Game on May 19

The Huntington High School boys' soccer program is planning an alumni game on Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. on the synthetic turf field at Blue Devils Stadium. Huntington soccer alumni of all ages are invited to participate.
Blue Devil varsity head coach John Pagano is in the midst of reaching out to as many alumni as he can, spreading the word about the game. He hopes to reach dozens of former players and is asking that they in turn contact their teammates.
Alumni playing in the game are asked to make a $10 donation to the program. The game is viewed as a way for former Huntington players to reconnect with old friends and teammates and revisit their soccer past at the school.
This will mark the fifth year for the event, which the coach said is tradition that has grown in popularity. The Blue Devils reached the Suffolk playoffs last season and Pagano believes a strong alumni group can help build the program and help it flourish in the future.
Alums have been known to come from as far away as Florida to play in the game. "All of our soccer alumni are welcome to play," Pagano said. "It's going to be great getting everyone together again. Anyone who wants to play should arrive early so they have time to warm-up."
To participate, former players should contact Pagano at jpagano@hufsd.edu.
