The Huntington School District is in its second week of holding kindergarten screening and registration for children who will be five years old by December 1, 2012.
Kindergarten registration is by appointment only. Parents or guardians should call the kindergarten registration hotline as soon as possible at 673-4299 to secure a registration packet.
Registration was held at Flower Hill and Southdown Schools last week and will be available at Jefferson (Tuesday, March 13) and Washington (Thursday, March 15) this week. Registration will also be held on Wednesday, April 25 and Friday, April 27 at Jack Abrams School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There are several documents that parents or guardians must bring with them to the registration including, a child's original birth certificate, certificate of immunizations, proof of residency in the district, three current utility bills, custody papers if divorced or separated and a photo ID.
