HHS PTSA Holds Staff Appreciation Day

The Huntington High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association recently held a staff appreciation luncheon for teachers and support staff members who work in the building. Parent Linda Drace decorated the room consistent with an "out of this world" theme.

The PTSA catered the lunch from Good 2 Go Deli located on Woodbury Road in Huntington, which is owned by Huntington High School parents Joyce and Dave Glicker. "Their wraps, salads and desserts were 'out of this world,'" said Laurene Napurano, a member of the HHS PTSA executive board who along with fellow board members Elaine May, Marilyn Maggio Melissa Ryan, Lorraine Corbly and parent helper Marion Bateman served food during each of the lunch periods.

Faculty and staff were given a choice of beverages along with various desserts donated by the parents themselves. There was even a chocolate fountain that was used to dip strawberries, marshmallows and pretzels.

Similar luncheons were provided by school PTAs around the Huntington School District this spring. The affair at Huntington High School resulted in a fun time for everyone. "A beautiful day was had by all," Mrs. Napurano said.
