Woodhull Students Shine at
Variety Show

This year's Woodhull Intermediate School variety show allowed nearly 100 students to bring their unique talents to the stage and display them for the adoring crowd that turned out in the Huntington High School auditorium for the event.
Organized by the Woodhull PTA, the show featured 32 acts starring 93 students, plus some special guest appearances. "Woodhull's Got Talent" was the evening's theme and a truer statement was probably never uttered. Fifth and sixth graders sparkled with acts that ranged from dancing and lip syncing to instrumental performances.
Woodhull teacher aide Richard Signorelli served as the event's DJ and he kept the atmosphere light-hearted. Sixth grade teacher Paul Esposito, who can rock with the best of them, ignited the crowd with a performance that had folks on their feet and clapping right along with pop favorites that included Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark." Assistant Principal Jarrett Stein made a special appearance during Mr. Esposito's act.
Jeanie Dempsey and Debbie Caravetto chaired the event, with assistance from PTA President Julie LaBella. The show ran smoothly and the night was termed "a huge success," by parents and PTA officials.
"Every student on stage shined," said parent Debbie Chin. "The excitement was infectious as the students and audience members clapped and sang along with popular songs. It was touching to see the enthusiastic support amongst the students.:
