Italian Honor Society Inducts
New Members

Huntington High School's Italian honor society inducted ten new members during a ceremony in Louis D. Giani Gymnasium near the close of the school year.

The induction ceremony was a joint event for the Italian, French and Spanish honor societies. In all, 52 new members were welcomed into the ranks of the three organizations. Current society members Holden Kata, Emily McGoldrick, Nicolas Maiarelli, Judy Greco and Rebecca Palladino were among those who led the ceremony with poise, style and class.

The new Italian honor society members earned induction by distinguishing themselves by performing at a high academic level, according to faculty advisor Silvia Gilbert

The newly inducted members include Giselle Aparicio, Julianna Barca, Ann DeChiaro, Cynthia Gowani, Olivia Palmer, Michael Piazza, James Sosa, Victor Tellez, Nicholas Tonks and Jarrod Totolhua.

Near the end of the program the new inductees were presented with certificates before participating in the traditional candle lighting ceremony as members of the group recited the society's pledge in Italian.
