Save the Date for a Fashion Experience
Sometimes it seems like almost everyone is stressed out. Well, the J. Taylor Finley Middle and Huntington High School PTAs have just the solution: A fun night of fine fashion and good food. Set aside Thursday, March 29 from 6:30-10:30 for the big event.
Billed as "A Fashion Experience," the joint PTA effort will be held at the beautiful Huntington Crescent Club. Contact Laurene Napurano (988-0949 or laurenen@optonline.net) or Maggie Warren (424-2651 or heart777901@hotmail.com) for more information.
Last year's fashion show at The Harbor Club was one of Huntington's best ever. Finley's models included Principal John Amato and teachers Matthew Perlongo, Chris Helmke, Vincent Tannazzo, Donna Moro and Annette Stracuzza.
Last year's Huntington High School models were led by Principal Carmela Leonardi and included Peter Fusco, Michael Schwendemann, Lauren Desiderio, Joseph Cohen, Bonnie Guarino, Ron Wilson and Bernadette Walsh. Huntington parent Pam Signorelli who works in the district as a teacher aide, also joined the fun as a model.
"It was quite a show," Mrs. Napurano said about last year's affair. "There were unbelievable raffle baskets. Over $6,000 was raised between the two schools." Huntington High School fashion program assisted at the event.
Mrs. Napurano thought it would be a "great idea" to hold a joint fashion show and get faculty members involved as models. "They were hesitant at first, but the night proved to be a great success! The teachers were able to show their stuff!"
