Voter Registration Scheduled for Budget Vote and Trustee Election

Huntington School District residents who are not registered to vote in either a general or district election can register for the May 15 budget vote and election on Thursday, May 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Huntington High School lobby.

Qualified voters seeking to register must present themselves personally to the Board of Registration. To be eligible to register, individuals must be a United States citizen, have resided in the district for at least 30 days and be at least 18 years old.

Persons who have been previously registered in the district and have voted in a district election conducted during the four calendar years running from 2008 through 2011 or who are registered and qualified to vote in a general election need not register again to vote in the May 15 budget vote and trustee election.

Residents who want to register to vote but who cannot make it to the May 10 registration at Huntington High School can contact Huntington School District Clerk Elizabeth Troffa at 673-2126 to arrange to complete the registration process at the district office. May 10 is the last opportunity to register.

Only qualified voters who have been duly registered will be permitted to vote on May 15.
