Meet the Candidates Night on
Weds. May 2
The Huntington PTA Council is sponsoring a Meet the School Board Candidates Night on Wednesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the J. Taylor Finley Middle School LGI-auditorium.
A representative of the Suffolk Region PTA will moderate the event. Members of the audience will be able to submit questions that will be posed to the trustee candidates. All members of the public are invited to attend.
Huntington School Board candidates include incumbent Emily Rogan and challengers Tom DiGiacomo, Bill Dwyer, Xavier Palacios and Susan Tully. Incumbent trustees Elizabeth Black and Kimberly Brown are not running for re-election.
Candidates run at-large and not for a specific seat or against a specific opponent. The three top vote-getters will win terms commencing July 1 and continuing through June 30, 2015.
