The Huntington varsity field hockey team topped Suffolk power Commack, 1-0 on its home field. Kari Peer scored off of an assist from teammate Darya DeSimone about two minutes into the game to give Huntington all it needed for the victory. Blue Devil goalie Maggie Lombardo stopped five shots to record the shutout.

Velasquez is Unstoppable

Ricky Velasquez was simply unstoppable during the Huntington varsity boys' soccer team's 4-0 victory over visiting West Babylon. The Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead into halftime before exploding for three unanswered second half goals.

Velasquez scored Huntington's first two goals and later added an assist. Grixon Moreira and Christian Campos also scored. Josh Canales contributed an assist. Norman Gomez-Vasquez made five saves in goal for the shutout.

Wright Scores Lone Goal

Colleen Wright scored the only goal of the game in the Huntington varsity field hockey team's 1-0 victory over Centereach. Wright's goal came on a breakaway in overtime. Maggie Lombardo made four saves in goal for the Blue Devils.

Hills West too Hot to Handle

The Huntington varsity boys' soccer team is a very good squad, but Half Hollow Hills West was just too hot to handle as the Colts turned back the Blue Devils, 3-0.

HHHW is undefeated in League IV play. Against Huntington, the Colts took a 2-0 first half lead and didn't suffer a letdown the rest of the way. Blue Devil goalie Ari Moskowitz was solid, stopping 12 shots.

H-ton Field Hockey Drops Game

Kari Paar scored a first half goal off an assist from Colleen Wright but the Huntington varsity field hockey team dropped a close game to Harborfields in overtime, 2-1. Maggie

Burnett the Magnificent

Hannah Burnett was absolutely magnificent in the Huntington varsity girls' soccer team's scoreless tie at home against Comsewogue. The junior stopped a dozen shots, including several that seemed destined to reach the back of the net.

Toe-to-Toe with Suffolk Power

The Huntington varsity field hockey team placed an excellent game during a 1-0 overtime loss to perennial Suffolk power Ward Melville. Huntington goalie Maggie Lombardo made four saves.

Burnett Does Her Part

Hannah Burnett made 11 saves, but the Kings Park girls' soccer team shutout Huntington, 1-0. The Blue Devils managed only two shots on goal.

Swimmers Split Two Meets

The Huntington girls' swimming and diving team edged Hauppauge, 97-85. Diana Harvey, Taylor Palmer, Emily Maggio and Erica Flor captured the 400 yard freestyle in 4:08.92 to lead the Blue Devils.

The Huntington swimmers were nipped by a combined Sayville/Bayport-Blue Point squad, 90-88.

Reilly Scores Twice

Katie Reilly scored two goals and Allison Mehring had an assist as the Huntington varsity girls' soccer team swept past Bellport, 2-1. Hannah Burnett stopped nine shots in goal.

HHS Comes-from-Behind

Ryan Casale had 48 assists in the Huntington boys' volleyball team's 3-2 victory over Westhampton Beach. Michael Sullivan contributed 26 kills and John McCarthy added 18 kids.

Westhampton Beach won the first two games, 27-25 and 25-20, before the Blue Devils rallied to capture three straight games, 25-16, 25-22 and 25-21.

Wright Scores Game Winner

The Huntington varsity girls' field hockey team topped Smithtown West, 2-1. Emily Arciprete scored the Blue Devils' first goal off an assist from Gillian Ehrman. Tied 1-1, Huntington's Colleen Wright scored what proved to be the game winner.

Defense Rules the Day

Huntington varsity girls' soccer goalie Hannah Burnett made 16 saves in a scoreless tie at home against Eastport-South Manor. The game featured amazing defense. Both teams had chances to score but neither could take advantage of them.

Healy and Reilly Score

Following a scoreless first half tie, the Huntington varsity girls' soccer team erupted for a pair of goals to top Harborfields, 2-1. Katie Healy and Katie Reilly scored goals and Allison Mehring added an assist.

Qualify for County Meet

The Huntington girls' cross country team ran to a season best finish to qualify for the county championship meet. Celine Takekoshi led the Blue Devils, who also received fine performances from Kiara Roman, Kerri-Ann Giambruno and Alexandra Martinolich. Adelia Witt's strong finish clinched the team's standing and helped it advance to the Suffolk finals.
