Trustees Appoint Finley Club Advisors

The J. Taylor Finley Middle School after-school club program is up and running. Huntington School Board members approved more than a dozen faculty advisor appointments during the trustees' meeting on October 24.

Mark Belton (art club and stage crew), Dee Weinstock (audio-visual), Jaclyn Ambrosio (community club), Pamela Jacovino (drama director), Jessica Casteneda (assistant drama director), Amy Hughes (honor society), Phyllis Sadusky (honor society), Melanie DeMarco (Mathletes-7), Denise Grodzicki (Mathletes-8 and Math Counts), Elizabeth Grobe (Math Counts), Kimberly Schiller (school newspaper), Christopher Helmke (school store), Frank Battista (student council), Matthew Perlongo (student council), Krista Fee (school yearbook) and Esmeralda Tello (Yorkers club) were among the faculty advisors appointed for the Finley after-school club program.

Principal John Amato said a large number of students are involved in after-school activities at Finley. "There is a high rate of participation," Mr. Amto said.

"All students are welcome to participate in the club program," Superintendent James W. Polansky said. "After-school activities help provide for a well-rounded educational experience."
