Kingston Signs with St. Leo's

Peter Kingston will have the best of both worlds. The Huntington High School senior will get to play the sport he loves in an area often dreamed about by college students.
Kingston is headed to St. Leo, a Catholic liberal arts based university located about 45 minutes north of Tampa, Florida. The teenager recently signed an NCAA Division II letter of intent, committing to the university.
The 5'9, 180 lb. midfielder is headed to a team that went 5-7 this spring after winning back-to-back Deep South Conference championships the previous two seasons.
Kingston has played on the Blue Devil varsity lacrosse squad for three years. He also enjoyed a great football season last fall. "Peter Kingston is one of the best," said Georgia McCarthy, Huntington's director of interscholastic athletics. It's a feeling held by Huntington's coaches and Kingston's teammates.
St. Leo's has an enrollment of more than 14,000 traditional campus and adult continuing education students. The university offers 41 academic degree ad certificate programs.
