2011 Huntington Football
Schedule Released
While the fall football season is still far off in the distance, Section XI has posted varsity schedules on its website (www.sectionxi.org). The Huntington Blue Devils will kick-off the 2011 campaign on Friday, Sept. 9 at Westhampton Beach at 6:30 p.m.
The regular season will consist of eight games, split equally between home and away contests:
• Friday, Sept. 9 - Huntington at Westhampton Beach - 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 17 - Huntington at Bellport - 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 24 - Miller Place at Huntington - 1:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 1 - Huntington at Sayville - 2 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 6 - Huntington at Rocky Point - 4 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 15 - Kings Park at Huntington - 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 22 - Islip at Huntington - 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 29 - Harborfields at Huntington - 1:30 p.m.
The Blue Devils' game against Islip on October 22 will be the centerpiece of Huntington High School's Homecoming Day activities. It will include the crowning of the Homecoming king and queen during half-time festivities. A morning parade through Huntington village will precede the football game. A Saturday evening dance for students is also planned. Parade floats will be constructed at the school on Friday night, October 21.
