Carousel on Stage at
Huntington High School
The Huntington High School drama club will present the musical "Carousel" on Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 9 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. General admission tickets will be available at the door for $10. Senior citizens, students and staff members with appropriate identification will be admitted for $5.
"Carousel" is one of the most productions of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. It debuted in 1945. The original Broadway show ran for 890 performances and has been a hit all over the country ever since.
The Huntington drama club is under the direction of faculty advisor Michael Schwendemann. Members have been rehearsing for long hours. Stage crew members have also been busy, putting the final touches on scenery, lighting and sounds. High school musicians have been learning Carousel's music and participating in grueling rehearsals, too.
There is plenty of free parking available. The building and auditorium is handicapped accessible. Call 673-2106 for more information.
