Parents Invited to Unique
Roundtable Discussion

In an age where time is more precious than ever before, Bari Fehrs thinks this is one event that parents should make an extra effort to attend if they can squeeze it into their jammed schedule.

The Huntington PTA council and the Huntington School District's guidance department are co-hosting a "guidance roundtable" on Thursday, March 10 at 10 a.m. to ask and answer questions and clarify classes, programs and requirements to gain a better understanding of the opportunities, expectations and responsibilities of every high school student.

Mrs. Fehrs, president of the Huntington PTA Council, is encouraging parents to turn-out for the morning get-together in the high school college counseling center. "This will be one of those meetings worth the time to attend," she said about the roundtable discussion. "There will be an informal discussion about what the guidance department can do to help parents and students navigate through high school to graduation and college."

Ms. Klein is expected to touch upon a variety of topics and answer a set of the "most frequently asked questions," Ms. Fehrs said. "The meeting will assume a conversational tone. It will be a relaxed atmosphere. Parents can come and learn about the services available to their children, as well as getting their questions answered."

Refreshments will be served. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Mrs. Fehrs at bafehrs@optonline.net.
