Blue Devils Crown Four Mat Champs

The Huntington wrestling team crowned four weight class champions last Saturday at the Ted Petersen Tournament at Island Trees. The Blue Devils finished fourth out of 11 schools in the team standings.

Corey Jamison (112 lbs.), Nigel McNeil (119), Louis Puca (171) and Duncan Murchison each captured first place in their respective weight class. T.J. Wilson (152) and Nick Lupi both finished second. Kevin Mendez (130) was fifth in the competition and Anthony Puca (285) placed sixth.

McNeil, who won Suffolk and state titles last winter, was voted the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler after topping Wantagh's Joe Barbato in the finals, 7-5.
