Trustees Set Public Commentary Procedures

How to provide for public commentary during Huntington School Board meetings produced a spirited discussion at Monday night's meeting of trustees.

Trustees voted 6-0 to set a 30-minute period for public commentary on agenda items early in each meeting. A second 30-minute period will be available near the end of each meeting during which speakers will be able to comment on any issue. During both periods each respective speaker will be limited to three minutes at the microphone.

The agenda for each meeting is posted on the district website (www.hufsd.edu) several days prior to the meeting.
