Alumni Association Presents
Senior Awards

Huntington High School Alumni Association President Valerie Allocco presented four current seniors with awards earlier this month during a ceremony in the high school auditorium.
Class of 2010 members Brendan Gellerstein and Morgan Brown earned $500 scholarships for their academic success and activity participation. Mr. Gellerstein is headed to the University of Mississippi while Ms. Brown will attend SUNY Buffalo in the fall. Both seniors are planning to study for teaching degrees.

The Alumni Association presented this year’s coveted Alumni Cups to Johanna Clifford and Daniel Smith. The awards are given to students who “best exhibited sportsmanship, character and dedication to school and community,” Ms. Alloco said.
Ms. Clifford will be attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland where she intends to major in biomedical engineering. She was the field major for the Blue Devil marching band this past year and is a six-time varsity fencing letter winner and team captain.
Mr. Smith will soon head off to the University of Maryland at College Park to study business. He was a section leader in the marching band and earned varsity letters with the volleyball, basketball and baseball teams.
