Huntington Film Festival to Return

Expect it to be even bigger and better next spring. Now that the Huntington High School Film Festival is off the ground, there is every expectation it will stick around.

The inaugural event drew a crowd of about 200 to the high school auditorium. The films were well-received and the filmmakers enjoyed their moment in the spotlight.

“The festival was a hit with all that attended,” said Heather Swan, a Huntington High School art teacher who has developed a cutting edge video program that is popular with students.

Some of the videos can viewed by logging onto the Huntington School District website at www.hufsd.edu and clicking on the link for The Arts and then on the link for Videos. A DVD of the film festival is available for $10. To order a copy send an e-mail to Ms. Swan at hswan@hufsd.edu.

“I am so proud of the inspiring work that has been produced this year and was so glad we had the opportunity to share it with the community,” Mrs. Swan said.

Plans are already underway to host another film festival next spring.
