Huntington Alum Scores Four TDs for Cortland
Former Huntington football star Dom Sair scored four touchdowns last Saturday afternoon to help the SUNY College at Cortland team rout Buffalo State, 42-13.
Sair, a 6’0, 235 lb. fullback, carried the ball 17 times for 64 yards, including scoring runs in all four quarters. The victory helped the 19th ranked Red Dragons improve to 3-1.
The business major’s performance was just one touchdown short of the school’s single game record. Sair was named first-team all-state at linebacker as a senior, following an MVP effort in the Long Island championship game. He initially played football at C.W. Post as a freshman before transferring to Cortland.

Last season Sair appeared in all 13 Cortland games, starting eight. He caught four passes for 62 yards and made six tackles, including three solos. He even had a kick return, scampering 10-yards in a win over SUNY College at Morrisville. In an NCAA playoff victory over Curry, Sair had two tackles and a 23-yard reception.
Sair’s brother, Stef, is currently a Huntington School District physical education teacher. Stef was a Cortland athletic star, too, earning all-conference honors in football and the NCAA wrestling championship.
