40th Reunion of Huntington Class of 1969 Set
The 40th reunion of Huntington High School’s Class of 1969 will be held Saturday, October 3 from 7-10 p.m. at Chesterfields Blues and Jazz Lounge located at 330 New York Avenue on the corner of Main Street in Huntington.

Huntington’s Class of ’69 graduated on Sunday, June 22, 1969 at 3 p.m. It was the 108th commencement held by the school. Principal Richmond Bell introduced the speakers that day, including valedictorian Kevin Cavanaugh and salutatorian Joshua Turner. Superintendent William F. Keough, who was later held hostage in the American embassy in Iran following a revolution in that country, presented the class members to the crowd. Board of Education President Robert R. Maller gave the commencement address. A total of 560 diplomas were awarded.
