Flower Hill’s Pajama Bingo Night a Winner

Torrential rains couldn’t put a damper on Flower Hill Primary School’s Pajama Bingo Night, as more than 200 youngsters and their parents turned out for pure fun on a recent stormy Friday night.

The event was sponsored by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association and included snacks and refreshments donated by Flower Hill families.  Of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without an array of prizes for the game winners and the children who participated in one of the most enjoyable “happenings” on the PTA calendar.

Students wore their comfy and colorful pajamas to event, which utilized the school gym.  Flower Hill offers numerous family activities throughout the year that regularly draw a crowd in the hundreds.  The bingo game itself produced lots of fun for both students and their parents.

Excitement and expectation built to an almost fever pitch in the days leading up to the big night.  On Friday, it was all some students wanted to talk about.  Frequent family get-togethers have made the Flower Hill school community a tight-knit group.

As the hour grew late, teachers Elizabeth Fiore and Veronica Quinlan read children bedtime stories, before sending them off into their parent’s cars for the trip home.
