Flower Hill Honors its May Students of the Month
The Flower Hill Primary School community is winding down another year that has been successful on many different fronts. Chief among them is another outstanding group of students who have excelled in many different ways. It’s always a difficult task to select a relative handful of the more than 300 youngsters in the school for Student of the Month Awards.
The May honorees include Keonia Brit, Rory Dara, Sasha Rosen, Symone Edwards, Chris Carmen, Jonathan Felix, Litsy Linares, Brian Cuadra, Connor Dougal, Kaitlyn Sage, Jasmine Taylor, Christopher Porzio, Tierra Boccard, Elvis Torres, Nicole Brown, Maddy Falk, Sebastian Stamatatos, Christine Ollen, Grace Curran, Hannah Baptiste, Morgan Mitchell, Matthew Gelb, Nicholas Bavaro and Monty Young.
“We have so many fine hard working students,” Flower Hill Principal Marlon Small said. “We like to recognize exceptional effort and cooperation in classrooms and around the school. Our monthly award program is a small way of doing that.”
Teachers nominated students for the monthly award and honorees were recognized with special certificates, a roll call of their names read over the school’s public address system and a photo opportunity with Mr. Small. “We always try to make them feel like kings and queens,” Mr. Small said.
