Our district is the proud home of an extensive and active alumni association, a "Foundation for Excellence in Education" that helps to fund a great number of dynamic and innovative educational programs, a spirited booster club that supports a myriad of athletic teams, and an ever expanding and diverse adult education program that continues to encourage district residents to keep learning a lifelong passion.
Huntington has a proud tradition of excellence in public education that dates back to 1657 when the first school teacher was hired. Today, the current enrollment of the Huntington Union Free School District is 4,100 students housed in four primary schools (K-3), two intermediate schools (4-6), a middle school and a senior high school. Huntington students have received many academic honors reflecting the high expectations the community has for its schools.
