Flower Hill Primary School likes to celebrate its stars and it has plenty of them walking around hallways and studying in classrooms.

Flower Hill has always been a proud place. It was standing tall on the day it opened in September 1954 and it’s still highly regarded today after more than six decades of service to the community.

Located in one of the most gorgeous areas on the North Shore, Flower Hill is a bustling place. The school can claim students that sparkle in every academic discipline along with the arts and athletics, too. Students know just how fortunate they are to be enrolled in the school and they enthusiastically pass through the doors each morning for another day.

Principal Paula Nickerson recently announced the names of the Stars of the Month for September. It’s a significant award around Flower Hill and every youngster is thrilled to receive it. Usually one student from each classroom is chosen monthly. Their name sounds out over the public address system and they hustle down to the main office with a vigorous spring in their step.

Ms. Nickerson presented Star Student Awards to kindergartenders Rose Poli, Katelyn Brite, Charlotte Kindelmann, Christian Recarte-Ordone and Angie Ramos; first graders Natalie Hanford, Lauren Reed, Lizmarie White, John Dos Santos and Cassidy Goldman; second graders Cameron Batts, Cassidy Harris, George Reyes, Grace Bartasi and Charles Rosselli; third graders Victor Aviles, Timorie Rich and Abbey Rose Goldman; and fourth graders Jesley Martinez Canales, Jeremyah Leiva, Bridget Callery, Jonathan Tavarez Ramirez and Keylin Anariba Henriquez.

Fourth grade teacher Corin Walsh’s students captured the Star Class Award for September for their outstanding efforts and performance all around the building.
