The fifth and sixth graders at Woodhull Intermediate School will never be outdone by those at any other school anywhere. This year’s science fair proved it.

Woodhull students developed some spectacular projects that ran the gamut of possibilities. Judging the work was no easy task. Huntington’s STEM Chairperson Jill Johanson met with each youngster and reviewed their respective project, asking questions and clarifying findings.

The two top projects on each grade level will advance to the Brookhaven National Lab’s annual elementary science fair set for May.

“We are very proud and extremely pleased with what our students developed for this year’s fair,” Woodhull Principal Traci Roethel said. “The work was impressive and of very high quality.”
